Various flange sizes, pressure ratings and types can be obtained and if this isn’t confusing enough we have to also take account of the different materials that may be required depending on the systems. Piping specifications are used to gain the information that is required.

The need to be able to read Pipe and Instrument Drawings (P & ID) and Isometric Drawings is very important. Identifying location, piping class, rating and piping sizes is essential in maintaining correct integrity in the system.
